About the Lilly

Lilly Martorana, a 23-year-old American artist hailing from Long Island, New York, comes from a family rich in artistic tradition, which deeply influenced her creative journey from a young age. She recently graduated with a BFA in Painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia.

Martorana's artistic practice predominantly revolves around charcoal and oil paints. Her work is distinguished by vibrant depictions of human figures and imaginative landscapes. Through her art, she advocates for feminism, promoting body positivity, and challenging societal beauty norms.

She has participated in numerous group exhibitions and held two solo shows. Notably, she showcased her work at the Women’s United Art Movement, where she was also featured in their magazine publication, and at the Cedar House Gallery in Savannah, Georgia.

Martorana aims to pursue a career in curatorial work while maintaining an active studio practice. Additionally, as someone managing chronic illness, she is dedicated to prioritizing her health alongside her artistic endeavors.
